Raleigh, NC (October 20, 2020) – The Raleigh Police Department responded after a boy was struck while riding a bicycle along Capital Boulevard near Cheviot Hill Drive. The crash was reported on Monday evening, October 19th.
According to a report from the scene, the boy was riding his bike on Capital Boulevard near the intersection with Cheviot Hill when he attempted to cross the road. As he was crossing, his bicycle was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Following the crash, the boy was taken by ambulance to WakeMed where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
