Durham, NC (November 21, 2020) – Police and rescue workers responded to the scene of a pedestrian crash in Durham on Thursday, November 19th. The crash took place around 11:00 p.m. on Lasalle Street, near the Bradford Ridge Apartments and Duke University Hospital.
According to a report from the scene, a pedestrian was walking near the roadway when he was hit by two vehicles. One of the vehicles crashed through a chain-link fence while the other came to rest in a parking lot following the crash. A nearby Good Samaritan came to the aid of the pedestrian immediately after the accident. Paramedics arrived and transported the unidentified man to a local hospital where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no information on the cause of the crash at this time. Following an investigation, police placed two men in handcuffs but it is unclear what charges they face, if any, related to the accident. No one else was hurt.
