Motorcycle Accidents in North Carolina
Motorcycle riding is a very popular activity in North Carolina. With varied terrain and temperate climate, our state offers adventure and thrills for motorcyclists year-round. Despite this, riding a motorcycle also carries a great risk. In 2018, there were 3,566 motorcycle accidents in North Carolina. A large number of these motorcyclists suffered injuries in these accidents as 2,806 people were hurt and 176 were killed. These numbers exemplify the dangers to riders when they are involved in a crash. Motorcycles offer little protection from the impact of a collision and riders are often thrown from their bikes when they are involved in accidents.
